Counterbalance Forklift
How to Repair A Forklift - Forklift Maintenance Precautions Apr 08 , 2025
To ensure safety, when lifting the gasoline forklift 3 ton, the forklift should be parked on a level ground and the front and rear wheels should be in a braked state. After supporting the forklift on the chassis frame, use a jack to place the support point close to the axle and frame, lift the forklift and perform maintenance work. Before performing maintenance work, remove the grounding wire from the battery to reduce the risk of wire damage and burning accidents caused by short circuits. Cover the body, seats and floor with protective covers to prevent damage and contamination. Because brake fluid and antifreeze can easily damage the painted surface, proper attention must be paid when handling. In order to perform maintenance work effectively and reliably, it is necessary to use specified tools and special tools.
Used cotter pins, gaskets, O-rings, oil seals, locking washers and self-locking nuts must be discarded, and new ones should be prepared when reinstalling.
If these parts are reused, they cannot maintain normal functions.
To ensure both correct and smooth reinstallation, the disassembled parts should be neatly grouped and kept.
Before inspection and reassembly, clean the parts. In addition, blow the oil ports and other parts with compressed air to confirm that there are no obstructions in these areas.
Before assembly, the rotating and sliding surfaces of the parts must be lubricated with oil or grease. When necessary, sealants should be used on the gaskets to prevent leakage.
Be fully aware of the torque specifications of all bolts and nuts.
When the maintenance work is completed, be sure to make a final check to see if there are any maintenance items that have been missed.
Be safe when jacking up the forklift. Please use a jack or block. Confirm the safety conditions around. The rope used for lifting heavy objects must have
sufficient safety factors. Before using power tools to disassemble components, make sure that the bolts, nuts, pipes and wiring harnesses are completely separated.
When carrying heavy objects, use certain equipment or tools, and do not carry them by hand. When inspecting diesel counterbalance forklift hydraulic systems and other dust-proof components, use clean tools and work in a clean, dust-proof area. Before inspecting or welding electrical system components, make sure that the leads of the battery terminals are removed. (Remove the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal.) Be careful to prevent oil, gas and flammable materials from entering the work area. Arrange the disassembled parts and tools. A warning sign should be hung on the engine or the control handle during maintenance. It is not allowed to disassemble parts when the engine is running. Do not stand directly under the forks or fork frame. Use blocks to block the equipment and fork frame during maintenance. Place maintenance tools in order, check them regularly, and use them correctly.
